Golf Outing 2024

This past Monday marked another successful LCS Golf Outing, and it was truly one for the books! With a record-breaking 134 golfers participating and just under $42,000 raised, this year's outing exceeded all expectations. The event was held at the beautiful Stonewater Country Club, known for its scenic course and top-tier facilities. Stonewater provided the perfect setting for a day filled with great golf, camaraderie, and community spirit.

None of this would have been possible without the generous support of our 26 sponsors, whose contributions were vital in making this event such a huge success. From local businesses to longtime supporters of LCS, their commitment to our school is deeply appreciated.

In addition to the golf and camaraderie, this year’s outing featured a unique and creative experience with an Art Project led by our very own Mrs. Sinnema. Participants had the chance to try their hand at creating beautiful vases using a technique called wet felting. This hands-on activity involved using layers of wool, water, and soap to shape and mold the fibers into vibrant, one-of-a-kind vases. Mrs. Sinnema guided everyone through the process, and the results were stunning! It was a fun and engaging way to add an artistic touch to the day, giving participants a memorable keepsake to take home.

After a day of competition on the greens, participants were treated to a delicious dinner and refreshing drinks at the clubhouse. It was the perfect opportunity to relax, reflect on the day’s highlights, and enjoy the company of fellow golfers and school supporters. Many of our teachers also joined for the evening, adding to the sense of community that makes this event so special. Conversations flowed as attendees shared stories from the day and celebrated the success of the outing together.

This outing is a shining example of what happens when a community comes together for a good cause. Whether you were a golfer, sponsor, planner, or volunteer, your involvement made a difference. Thank you to everyone who helped plan and organize the event and to all those who participated in making the day one to remember! We look forward to seeing you again next year!
