School Community

Community is at the heart of LCS. When you enroll your children at LCS, you’ll quickly discover why parents love our school community! From the moment you walk through our doors, you’ll notice a warm and welcoming community of teachers and staff. Events like the Fall Harvest Party, Family Fun Night, Spring Fling, Moms in Prayer, and an active Parent Club help foster community among our families.

The LCS Parent Club is an all-volunteer group committed to enriching every student’s experience at LCS, facilitating community among all families and supporting our amazing teachers and staff. You play an integral part in making LCS a successful and thriving community. The Parent Club consists of moms, dads, guardians, grandparents and/or a person who teaches or is on staff at LCS.

Our primary objective as a Parent Club is to provide our school community with events that bring people together and provide funds to support our teachers/staff and the general budget. To meet these important objectives, we fundraise. Here are a few programs that we sponsor and/or support: Family Fun Night, Fall Apple Pie & Pigs-in-the-blanket sale, walk-a-jog-a-thon (last year we did a color run), Elementary KeyCard Book sale, spirit nights at local restaurants, Teacher Appreciation, Terracyle, and various other events throughout the year.

Why YOU should dive in!
We are a small and busy group. This is where you come in! We need your help, and so do your child(ren). We are in need of growth and are seeking additional individuals to continue re-establishing the organization and providing help at the events. We have planned some exciting events this year in hopes to get more parents involved. We try to keep time commitments to a minimum, but the Parent Club is a team effort in which we cannot succeed on our own.
