Tim Leugs

Calvin College – B.A.; Michigan State University – M.A.

My wife Amber and I have been married since 2007.  We have three children, two girls and a boy.

I love the outdoors and especially enjoy backpacking, hiking, and outdoor education. I also am an avid reader, play guitar, and enjoy woodworking and carpentry.

What do you enjoy about your job?
The best part of my job is helping students to open their eyes to the ways in which God reveals himself in all school subjects and in all of life. “[The] universe is before our eyes like a beautiful book in which all creatures, great and small, are as letters to make us ponder the invisible things of God: his eternal power and his divinity.” When a student sees God’s handiwork and then applies it to a life of service to God through others, I know I have done my job.

What is your favorite Bible verse?

Philippians 4:4-7 – “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
